Digital Schools Award

Our pupil Digital Leaders, along with Mrs Hampton and Mr Timmons recently had an accreditation meeting with representatives from Digital Schools Awards to share what we do in St Clement's.  They were rewarded soon after with an email saying...

" Congratulations St Clement's RC Primary School on achieving your prestigious Digital Schools Award!  We are thrilled to recognise your school’s commitment to digital excellence."

"St. Clement’s RC Primary School demonstrates a strong and inclusive commitment to embedding digital technologies across all aspects of school life. Digital learning is meaningfully woven throughout the curriculum, with pupils confidently and enthusiastically showcasing their use of a wide range of digital tools to support and enhance their learning experiences. Staff speak knowledgeably and positively about how digital technologies improve pedagogy, support planning and assessment, and increase engagement and accessibility for all learners, particularly through the effective use of tools such as Clicker, Microsoft 365, Seesaw and various literacy and numeracy platforms. The school’s approach to digital equity is commendable, ensuring access to devices and software that enable personalised learning, while promoting pupil voice and leadership through an active and skilled Digital Leaders team. These pupil leaders contribute significantly to digital culture by supporting peers, leading clubs and assemblies, mentoring others, and helping shape future initiatives. The school’s strong links with parents and carers are enhanced through effective communication via Seesaw, weekly e-bulletins, and the use of the Safer Schools App, ensuring families are well informed and engaged. Professional learning is clearly prioritised, with a well-planned and responsive programme of staff development supported by collaboration with external partners and local authority initiatives. With robust digital infrastructure, inclusive practices, and a shared commitment to continuous improvement, St. Clement’s is well positioned to build upon its existing success, and they should continue their digital journey to further incorporate Computing Science skills across the curriculum, linking to Meta skills and Developing the Young Workforce. I believe that St. Clement’s RC Primary School has met the criteria for the Digital Schools Award and has the capacity to become a mentor school, supporting others of their digital journey."
